Solar Power

Solar power refers to the energy harnessed from the sun’s radiation, which can be converted into electricity or heat. This renewable energy source is captured through solar panels or solar thermal systems. Solar power is considered a clean and sustainable alternative to fossil fuels, as it produces little to no greenhouse gas emissions during operation. The technology involved in solar power includes photovoltaic cells, which convert sunlight directly into electricity, and solar thermal systems, which use sunlight to heat a fluid that can generate steam to drive turbines for electricity production. Solar power is increasingly utilized in residential, commercial, and utility-scale applications, contributing to efforts to reduce dependence on non-renewable energy sources and mitigate climate change.
