Fuerzas Armadas Mexicanas

The “Fuerzas Armadas Mexicanas,” or Mexican Armed Forces, refers to the combined military forces of Mexico, which include the Army, Navy, and Air Force. These forces are responsible for the defense of the country, maintaining national security, and providing assistance in domestic civil emergencies. The Army (Ejército Mexicano) primarily handles land operations, while the Navy (Secretaría de Marina) oversees naval and maritime matters, including the coast guard. The Air Force (Fuerza Aérea Mexicana) is tasked with aerial defense and operations. The Mexican Armed Forces are governed by the Mexican Constitution and operate under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of the Navy. They play a critical role not only in defense but also in countering drug trafficking and organized crime, often engaging in operations that blur the lines between military and law enforcement duties. The Fuerzas Armadas are also involved in humanitarian aid, disaster response, and other civil activities as needed.
